Call for Artists!
This show is open to any and all artists. The Fallout is a new, non-profit art center seeking to encourage creativity, community, diversity, and faith, located at 2609 Stevens Ave. S., just south of the intersection of 26th and Stevens, and two blocks east of 26th and Nicollet, just one mile east of uptown, and 1 mile south of downtown. We are now accepting entries for this group show! We are looking for films, animations, videos; performance and interactive art; 2D visual work to hang on the walls of our gallery; sculpture; and most any form of art.


WHAT TO SUBMIT We're looking for all kinds of art, including painting, printmaking, photography, textile, sculpture, interactive, performance, sound, film. NOTE: We are limiting the number of entries to 3 pieces per person.
HOW TO SUBMIT
Option 1 (Preferred method): Please submit all entries as good digital images to falloutminneapolis@juno.com. We accept jpgs or gifs; size of 400-600 pixels (width or height). Please include detail shots to show texture or other aspects of your art, or for 3d work, show various angles. Please include your name, address, phone #, and email address, as well as the works' titles, media, and dimensions/size.
Option 2:
Drop your work off at the Fallout. Contact us to find out current open times, or other options if necessary.
Films: We will accept vhs or dvd, and are looking for films under 20 minutes long.
NOTIFICATION We will email you to let you know which piece/s are accepted.
DROPPING OFF WORK Please drop off accepted by July 11. Most Saturdays people will be around so you can drop pieces off then. It would be best to call or email to make sure someone will be around. If necessary, call or email us and we can arrange to pick up and/or transport some work.
NO ENTRY FEE There is no entry fee.
SELECTION PROCESS The entries will be selected for the show by a committee of Fallout staff and volunteers.
INSURANCE Fallout Art Fest entries are not covered by insurance.
FRAMING We suggest that your work be properly framed and equipped with hanging devices (i.e. wire on back). If work is not to be hung conventionally, detailed instructions for hanging must be included, or you can come help hang the work. Some work can be displayed outside if the artist desires, please protect your work from the elements enough to be outdoors safely.
SALES Fallout staff will sell the art, or artists may visit the gallery or opening and sell the art. We will take a 15% commission of sales from all work in the gallery.
CLOSING/PICKING UP WORK There is no specific closing date set yet, please bear with us. We are flexible, and will let you know when to come pick up your work. Please pick up your work promptly when we notify you; we can not store art. Any art left more than 30 days after the suggested pick up days becomes the property of the Fallout. The show will be up until approximately the end of August, or potentially the beginning or middle of September.
