Disgrace
2004
April
9-30, 2004: “Dis-grace”-
Collaborative work in many different media: On
Good Friday of Easter week, we hosted an event called “Dis-Grace.”
The theme was the 14 Stations of the Cross (the time between
Christ being condemned to death and being laid in the tomb)
plus the resurrection. “The irony of the vehicle that brought
grace into the world - suffered the ultimate disgrace and
death,” was the sub-title. The stations were displayed between
6 – 7:30 and attendees participated with interactive sculpture
and mug shots and finger printing (click more info for a
better description of each station). At 7:30 we gathered
in the warehouse and had a presentation of each station
that included multimedia, paintings, drawings, performance
art, drum jams, installations, spoken word, and live music.
It was a powerful night that allowed many to see the death
of Christ in a new light.
