Synopsis-
"Psalm 51"
"Psalm 51" is an experimental black & white short film combining
elements of improvisational modern dance and cinematic composition.
Based on the Biblical passage, Psalm 51 is the filmmaker's own interpretation
of spiritual darkness and light. The themes of emptiness, despair and
forgiveness are explored as the film's subject dances to a percussive
soundtrack, and the landscape of the soul is translated into imagery
and movement.

Synopsis- "Just a Bad Dream"
Inspired by Mike's love of horror films, "Just a Bad Dream"
won a Merit Award at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
Biography- Mike
Nelson
My name is Mike Nelson and I am a Minnesota native. While growing up,
I began to show great interest in movies and I can honestly say I looked
forward to going to the movie theater more than anything. I showed a
great deal of interest in monster movies especially the classics from
the 40's and 50's. I really started getting into film making about 5
years ago. Early in my high school career, I decided I wanted to go
to film school. I found the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, and
after attending there for two years I have really started to pump out
some solid work that I feel confident about. I have really found an
interest in the darker side of film such as psychological horror, noir,
and action films. I would eventually like to make a musical as well.
Something I really would like to change in the industry for the better
is films with a moral or spiritual focus. I believe it needs to have
a great message without watering down the realism. Audiences want realism
and nothing less these days.
